V.G.C.S.A.
Mission Statement The mission of the VGCSA is to provide training and educational services and a forum to share a common interest in all aspects of golf course management to all Golf Course Superintendents in the State of Victoria. Vision The VGCSA will see to broaden its membership base, with particular emphasis on those outside the Melbourne area. It will continue to provide a forum for fellowship, actively pursue a better and broader range of training and educational activities and give value to its sponsors. The promotion of the image of Golf Course Superintendents and the furtherance of the relationship between them and the Boards and Managers of golf clubs and the AGCSA will hold a high priority. There will be prudent and conservative management of the Association's financial affairs. Our association was formed 82 years ago in 1927. Since its inception, we have provided Golf Course Superintendents around Victoria with an Association to support and educate its members. We want it to grow in stature and recognise the needs of its members. A major area of concern has been the communication that exists between the members and the Association, hence the birth of our 'Homepage'. There is a wealth of information existing out there for you to use. We hope to not only provide you with ideas from our members, but also to provide you with links to International Associations and support available from around the world. We would like to thank Michael Picken and Michael Riordan for their drive in getting us to get into 'Cyberspace' and provide all with immediate communication. The ISP company that hosts our homepage is Patriot - Rosebud Visit their site http://www.pac.com.au to find out about their costs and services. Chris Rhodes is the man in charge of this rapidly growing company.
