The Victorian Golf Course Superintendents Association
The Victorian Golf Course Superintendents Association (VGCSA) The VGCSA was formed in 1927. Its mission is to provide training and educational services and a forum to share a common interest in all aspects of golf course management to Course Superintendents throughout the State of Victoria.
The Association’s operations are implemented by a volunteer committee of seven annually elected Superintendents plus one paid representative, the Chief Executive Officer.
Membership of the Association is open to all Course Superintendents, their Assistants, and Trade members who represent companies in the golf turf industry. A list of Trade members can be accessed here. For those companies who financially support VGCSA meetings and activities, please visit our Sponsor page.
Our Vision The VGCSA will see to broaden its membership base, with emphasis on those outside the Melbourne area. It will continue to provide a forum for fellowship, actively pursue a better and broader range of training and educational activities and give value to its sponsors.
The professional image of Course Superintendents and the promotion of productive relationships between Golf Club Boards and Managers, and the AGCSA will hold a high priority.
Since its inception, our aim has been to provide Course Superintendents around Victoria with an Association to support and educate its members. Our directive is to foster the growth and calibre of services, recognise the needs of members, encourage ongoing communication and engagement within the turf industry, and promote accessibility to those in regional areas. In achieving our goals, there will be prudent and conservative management of the Association's financial affairs.
Existing and prospective new members should familiarise themselves with the Association's Code of Ethics.
